Caleb Ming is a graphic designer by training and a life observer at heart. As the Director of Photography at Surround Studio, he expresses himself mainly through stills and motion photography. Here, you’ll find a showcase of his personal collection of works from witnessing the world at large. Whether he’s travelling for work or leisure, new landscapes always inspire him to click away and frame things in a different perspective. 

Graduated with a first-class honours in Graphic Communications from UK’s Loughborough University, Ming has come a long way since his first job as a photo journalist at the Straits Times. He is involved with crafting image solutions for clients locally and regionally. He is also active in both local and international arts scenes.

Ming has work on International projects with brands like Nike and Reebok, and helped with branding images for the property giant DLF in India. Most recently Ming went on Silkair Inaugural flight to Yogyakarta to document the maiden flight. For Google, he worked with the agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty to come up with an stop motion animation for Google’s street art campaign Openspaces. And for the Bureau of Cultural Affairs Kaohsiung City Government, he worked on videos for the creative©ities project to liven up the pier areas in the city. Back home in Singapore, a varied number of restaurants have approached Ming to work on their branding images- Jamie’s Italian; Lo&Behold’s Roof top bar, Loof; He has recently documented Zoukout and the Singapore Air Show.
