Profile : Dima Sharapov
I studied at Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts (KNUKiM), majoring in Film and Television. Throughout my time at the university, I was one of the top students in my group. My work was often praised and admired by both classmates and instructors, which motivated me to keep pushing my creative limits.
I actively helped other students, sharing my experience and supporting them with their projects. Photography became a part of my daily life - I shot constantly and used every opportunity to refine my skills behind the camera. Our university held several local photography exhibitions, and I was proud to have my work featured in them.
In addition to photography, I was involved in organizing and assisting with short film shoots, often working alongside our professors. These collaborative experiences were invaluable, helping me grow both creatively and professionally.

Hobby
I have over 4 years of hands-on experience in photography, specializing in a wide range of genres including landscape, architecture, macro, portrait, urban photography, abstract compositions, and textures. I am skilled in composition and framing, consistently paying attention to light, geometry, and mood to create expressive and well-balanced images.
I work with both digital and film photography. I shoot on film and have experience handling film negatives, including scanning, processing, and archiving. My daily practice has helped me refine my technical skills and develop a strong visual style.
In post-production, I am proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Luminar. My editing skills include basic color correction, retouching, cropping, and enhancing image detail while maintaining a natural look.
I also have experience assisting others with their projects and collaborating in creative environments, including organizing and shooting short videos during my university studies.
Camera Equipments
Over the years, I have worked with a variety of photographic equipment, gradually upgrading my gear as my skills developed. I began my journey with a Sony A200 paired with a standard kit lens, which helped me learn the fundamentals of digital photography. Later, I transitioned to a professional setup with the Sony A7 (Mark I), and after gaining more experience, I upgraded to the Sony A7 Mark III. This is currently my main camera, used with the Sigma 35mm f/1.4 Art lens.
In addition to digital photography, I also work with film. I use two analog cameras: a Soviet-era Zenit E with a Helios 44-2 lens, and an Olympus OM-10 with a 50mm lens. Working with film has deepened my understanding of light, timing, and composition, enriching my overall approach to photography.
Graphic Softwares
In my workflow, I use Adobe Bridge for organizing and selecting the best images after each shoot. For primary image adjustments—such as exposure, contrast, and color balance—I rely on Adobe Lightroom. For more advanced editing, including retouching, compositing, and fine detail work, I use Adobe Photoshop. Additionally, I occasionally use Luminar for creative enhancements and specific stylistic edits, depending on the project's needs.
